What are valves for the petrochemical industry?

In petrochemical plants, various valves are used to transport and block natural gas, crude oil and other petroleum products. Valves in petrochemical manufacturing are usually divided into general and special valves. The general valves consist of, for example:

  • ball valve
  • safety valve
  • control valve
  • pressure reducing valve
  • butterfly valve
  • check valve
  • wedge gate valve
  • cone valve

Specialised valves for petrochemicals include, among others, high pressure heating valve, four-way switching valve, wedge gate valve and parallel slide valve.
