For the 35th time in a row, the prestigious "Motala Company of the Year" award is presented and this year's winner took home the honourable distinction with the following motivation;
"VIMAB AB was founded in 1986 and today offers market-leading national and international valve services. With its technical expertise and hard work, the company has developed into a very stable company with successful financial results and is today one of Motala's major employers. In 2017 alone, 16 new employees were hired to meet increased demand and plans for future expansion. To ensure the supply of skills and maintain quality in the industry, the company is active in various training programmes.
A cornerstone of VIMAB's long history has been to develop quality, environmental and occupational health and safety, and the company began working with certified systems in these areas at an early stage. In parallel with this, VIMAB has also been a pioneer in the industry in terms of IT, where the proprietary business system creates great participation, high commitment and transparency. This ensures a widespread team spirit among the skilled employees who work with the customer's best interests in mind.
The company operates in five different locations in Sweden, but remains based and headquartered in Motala, which has helped to strengthen the Motala brand.
